Self care. Do all the movements gently, slowly and easily. If any action is painful (or even just uncomfortable) pause, re-assess and try again with an even smaller movement. Or try it a slightly different way, always seeking a pleasant and interesting experience. Avoid strain or pain. If the action is still painful or uncomfortable then try just doing it in your imagination.
Repetitions. Do each action about 4 or 5 times, or as many times as you continue to gain information &/or enjoyment. Rest as often as you want to.
Cautions. These lessons are not a substitute for medical help and if pain or difficulty persists consult a Feldenkrais practitioner &/or seek medical guidance.
One side.If a lesson is described for just one side (like the Wrist and fingers lesson) choose a side for the lesson, preferably the side that is easier for you. Then you can play the recording again and do the other side, either immediately after, or another time that's convenient. Enjoy feeling the differences between the 2 sides before you do the second side.
